Bozen, capital city of South Tyrol, is a mere 20 minutes by car from the holiday resorts: This city offers tourists attractions galore, such as the Dome, Walther square and museums, and many places to just have fun, such as the fruit and vegetable market, terrific shops, numerous cafes and arcades. Check out our Ötzi Museum (Archeology Museum) in Bozen. You just cannot leave South Tyrol without having visited Ötzi, the mummy from the glacier. The original fortress of the Runkelstein Castle in Bolzano was built in 1237 by the von Wangen Lords.
