Dolomite round trip: If you love road trips, you'll have the time of your life enjoying the Dolomites from the road. Feast your eyes on amazing panorama views during a drive around the Sellastock or even all the way to Cortina d'Ampezzo on your "long Dolomite round trip". The Cloud Museum at Monte Rite is Reinhold Messner's second museum. It is located in an old fortress and only a day trip away from the Rosengarten-Latemar region. Several local bus companies offer Dolomite tours, so you can relax and enjoy the vistas!

Gardasee: The largest lake of northern Italy beckons you for a tour under olive trees and lemon groves, past the houses and vacation homes of known poets and adventurers. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Gabriele d'Annunzio wrote a lot of their poems here. Take a detour into the surrounding mountains to admire a grandiose view across the lake.
Other sights worth visiting are the Vittorale (the residence of d'Annunzio) and the large park on the south end of the lake. You'll also find a picturesque gem at this location, peninsula Sirmione.
Families will have fun at the nature park, the theme park Gardaland and they will have a water-splashing good time at CanevaWorld Aqua Paradise.

Verona, City of Culture: For a romantic day trip, try this culture paradise. This city is a vibrant business center with a delightful old town center. Verona is especially known for its most famous lovers, Romeo and Juliet, immortalized by the British playwright and poet William Shakespeare. Juliet's birth place attracts travelers from all over the world. The Arena, Verona's old amphitheater, where gladiators used to fight to the delight of Roman onlookers, features an opera festival every summer. Check out your local tourist office to buy tickets for the festival with or without bus tickets from your resort to Verona. Opera Festival Guide for Verona.

Venice, City of Canals: An easy day trip takes you to Venice, City of Bridges and Canals, where you can take a vaporetto (motorized waterbus) through the Canale Grande to Piazza San Marco (St. Mark's Square). Or you can visit the Doge's Palace, the island Murano with its glass manufacturing plants, St. Mark's Basilica, the Bridge of Sighs and the Rialto Bridge. Quaint and romantic sites abound and you are sure to enjoy the special flair of this city built on wood piles imported from South Tyrol.

Innsbruck: Innsbruck is the capital city of Tyrol. It is located 120 km from Bozen and is worth a day trip or two. The most notable sights of this city are the "golden roof", the Imperial Court, the Imperial Church, Bergisel ski jumping ramp and Ambras Castle!
