The sunny Rosengarten-Latemar holiday region is located at the southwestern entrance to the Dolomite mountains and covers more than 250 km², stretching from Tiers valley and Gummer Mountain to Karersee and Eggental. The area, which is nestled into meadow-covered slopes and coniferous forests, is bordered by Schlern mountain in the north. Schlern mountain adjoins the impressive Rosengarten massif, which abuts the Latemar range via Karerpass, itself the boundary line between South Tyrol and Trentino. Reiterjoch mountain flanks the Eggental mountains, whose most attractive peaks are the Zanggen, Schwarzhorn, and Weisshorn summits.
